Shopping Spree

Alford Thomas, a retired truck driver from Cooper Tire Company, was all personality when he received his shopping spree on his 87th birthday. However, when the cameras came out, so did his poker face.

Having lost weight, Mr. Thomas' wish was to buy some new clothes that actually fit. Forever Young not only presented him with a shopping spree to his favorite store, but also serenaded him by singing, "Happy Birthday."

His daughter, Wendy Perry, said the experience really uplifted her father's spirit and he talked about it for days. "It filled my heart with joy and happiness and I haven't felt that way in a long time," said Mr. Thomas.
