Rocking Chairs to Enjoy Front Porch
Being homebound, Juna Phillips, 88, had a Needs Based Wish - to
own two rocking chairs for her front porch. Not only would the
rockers get her outside to enjoy the beautiful weather, but they
would also add variety to her day.
On her 88th birthday, Forever Young surprised Mrs. Phillips with two gorgeous, wooden rockers from the Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Juna immediately sat down and said, "I don't think I'll move. They are so comfortable." Later, with a follow-up call from Forever Young, Mrs. Phillips said, "The rocking chairs have brought visitors who wouldn't normally have stopped by, which is a nice surprise. To have friends over and to be able to sit on the porch and rock together has been so enjoyable. I didn't realize what I was missing, and I think the best part of all is keeping an eye on my neighbors," Juna said with a laugh.
